Here’s something we don’t realise.
There is the chatter in your head, and there is the real you.
How can we know this is true?
Have you ever noticed there is always a stillness when everything quietens down – even for a short while?
You are not your feelings or thoughts. They are not even yours – you are just witnessing them.
There is your mind with its chatter, beliefs, and opinions which come and go, come, and go, and then there is the REAL you.
You are the stillness, the awareness behind it all. You may just not be stopping or even pausing enough to experience that.
Every one of us has innate strength, resilience, and well-being. It’s built into us.
It is only ever a feeling that will convince you otherwise.
If you’ve believed that feeling for a long time – no matter whether it’s fear, doubt, anxiety – what if you could sit with it, not fight, or judge it, and see it for what it really is?
A feeling. A sensation. Maybe an image, or a memory. But that’s all it is.
It says nothing about you, your strength, how far you’ve come, and you far you can still go.
